1st Place Beginner 12 & Under At CooterCon 11 In Renton, WA
This past weekend, CooterCon 11 was held on April 9th and 10th at Skate Barn in Renton, WA. Paxton competed in the Beginner 12 & Under division and won first place! Congratulations to Dylan Kier for a great runs, Kaleb Kier for landing a backflip and competing in the Amateur division for the first time, and Joe Brumitt for 5th place in the Beginner 13 & Older division at this first competition and first time riding Skate Barn.
Nate Grant even congratulated Paxton on Impact Scooter News:
"…we sat down to watch the beginners. These kids were there to destroy Skatebarn. They all showed amazing dedication and skill. A shoutout to Paxton Swygard, who won the beginner division."*
* That post previously commented that Paxton beat Nate in a game of scoot.
On Saturday night, Paxton got to relax after the competition at dinner with Kaleb, Dylan, Joe, and Kody Geiger, including a surprise visit at the restaurant from Zig Short, who sat down for a while to enjoy the company. After dinner, they headed over to the Liberty Park Skate Park for a night session with some of the pros, including Kody, Alex Dorantes, Cooper Klaar, Heston and Fuzzy Gross, Kingsley Okocha. Even Phoenix Pro Scooters' own Tom Floyd showed up to watch the jam in the chilly night air under the lights!
